As we played at home today, Addison was grizzly a great deal of the day due to teeth, but she smiled a little when her trousers were turned into a hat, funny the things kids find funny.

My sons eyes are stunning, they are dark Grey and he has the longest lashes but for the past year most people would not know this as due to his Autism he doesn't make eye contact, this past few mths I have struggled with this, but I am now finding ways to get fleeting looks, it makes my heart melt every time I get to see those stunning pupils stare back at me.

I came home to this today, our shower collapsed the walls as water had got behind the tiles, they had to rip all the walls off and in the process found rat droppings, now our landlords have had to get management company out, no shower for at least 5 days. I am mortified!!!!

Look at my 2 little tooth brushers, we always do it in the bath, with 2 severe droolers it makes for less mess. It's more of a chewing exercise but hey ho.

Today was an AMAZING day, we got to see our little boy test out a trike for the 1st time, it was truly beautiful to watch, he instinctively put his hands in the right place and once even peddled his feet.

It makes me even more determined to get the funds at our Funday to give my little boy something to enjoy, many of you know I am shaving my head for sponsorship, well the picture above I feel is reason enough, so if you have a spare £1 please help my little boy get a trike for everyday.

Sorry to push this on my 366 but today has been an emotional day, I feel he will prove them wrong and walk.

My Week That Was - #3

My lovely friend Katie of Mummy, Daddy and Me Makes 3, has a great weekly link where you blog about your week past, so you can remember the little events as much as the big ones.

We have had a busy week here in the Innocent Charms Chats Family, with a great deal more hospital visits for Grayson and Addison moving from strength to strength, so here is the low down and a couple of pictures.

Monday - saw Me back to a long work day of an external audit, Ash having to be off work as my Mom was busy taking my baby brother out for lunch as it was his 25th Birthday.

It also saw me start my Shred workout DVD but this only lasted 3 days as by the 3rd I couldn't even get Grayson out of bed (seriously unfit).

Tuesday whilst I was at work Grayson went off to special nursery and managed to puke all over himself and the soft play therapy room, he wasn't unwell I think they just let him play too soon after food.

Wednesday as I was at work Grayson had a good Physio session and then an even better nursery session, tiring him out for a decent nights sleep of 9.30pm-6.30am.

Thursday I had my 6 monthly eye check(which had actually been 18mth) and found I need a new prescription, we took a trip to the new Super Sized Sainsbury's, Addison is loving going in the trolley now, it's one of her happiest times as she is a real people watcher like Mummy. She also chose herself a pretty new top which has "Daddy's Little Lady" on it.
Addison went to spend the night at Gamma's as Grayson had another early hospital visit in London on Friday Morning.

Friday was a mixed emotion day, we had fab news that we are going to Disneyland Paris this year for 3 days but then we had Grayson's 1st Hip Appointment, it was decided that not only the hip joint but the muscles that run it have problems, the are doing some tests under GA in March but it was confirmed there is a possibility it will mean Grayson can never walk. But we are looking to the bright side, so what if he can't walk he can still bum shuffle, he will prove them wrong.

Saturday was nice, we took the bubba's to go visit my Aunty and Uncle, my Nana was there too so it gave the kids time to be adored by all. Addison showed of all her new skills of crawling, standing against furniture and being a general Minx.

Today we have just rested in our PJ's with a quick visit from my little sister, the kids have been fairly well behaved so all in all not a terrible end to the week.

Other Top News.

Addison on Thursday was found out of her sleeping bag, standing up and hanging over the side of the cot (which was only taken down 10 days ago) so she has now been put on the final level, but she can still stand up and reach over - uh oh!

Addison also cut her 1st tooth this week - finally - it has only come out a smidge but it is cute and very razor like.

I have partaken in a couple of G & T's this week, considering I have had about 3 alcoholoic drinks in as many years this is a little out of the ordinary for me.

I managed to loose 1lb even though we have had 2 takeaways and not a fab week.

So fairly busy week for us, Addison amazes us with how quick she changes each week and my little man amazes me how well he copes with his countless appointments.

Today was a stay at home in PJ's day, but I did give Broccoli Cheese a whirl, it tasted better than it looked, but next time it will be even better.

I love dress up, I still love going to fancy dress parties now and spent most of my childhood dressing up as different things, so I knew I would always push oops I mean show my kids the magic of Fancy Dress, Grayson doesn't get to enjoy Fancy Dress as most kids do but hell yeah he looks super cute when he dresses up in outfits.

My Beautiful boy on his 3rd Birthday

On 4th Jan Grayson turned 3 years old, if someone asks howold he is I say 3, but when we go to hospital and see our relevant team membersor someone new and they ask Grayson's age I now say 8/10 months. See Grayson'sreal age by developmental purposes is that.

On Thursday last week we took the trip up to EvelinaHospital in London as we have so many times before in this past 3 years, to behonest I knew this appointment would be a waste of time as many are, but youalways have worry in your head and hope in your heart.
We met with Grayson's Neurologist, this was an emergencyappointment after they have found new black spots on his MRI and seizures onhis EEG. I had a feeling I knew what the answer would be that as usual"they just don't fully know when it comes to Grayson" and that daywas not much different.
They confirmed that he is having 3 different types ofseizures, that they are showing in his brain wave movements but they are not epileptic,they aren't 100% sure what they are but call them "Baby BehaviouralSeizures" this means that the brain is reacting in everyday life to thingsthat it can't just compute or finds hard due to the brain damage. They don'tbelieve them to be damaging to the brain but obviously this is not 100%, butdue to the nature of the seizures they cannot be medicated and we just have tolive with them, mixed emotions here, no I don't want to medicate, but I alsohate to watch my little boy laughing constantly at 3am when I know it’s not outof pleasure, or just to switch off for 2 minutes in the middle of the room likewe don't even exist. But hey ho, that’s Grayson!

He then went on to confirm the Black Spot that had come upwas in fact his existing brain damage which had grown a little in size as hehad grown and was finally sealing off the dead part of his brain. But no worry,well thanks, lastly we had some hitting news, he confirmed that he believes99.9% that Grayson's condition is Genetic but as they don't know what, theywould never be able to test future embryo’s, we would just have to take therisk, he said they would probably not even tell until the baby was born orpossibly a couple months old. This was not fully new in our heads, but to hearit stated has made my heart stop a couple of time this past week, I love myson, I love who he is, I love who he will be, but if you gave me a choice Iwould change him, some say I am wrong for this, but until they have lived in myshoes I ignore them, why should my little boy endure pain, why should he not beable to talk, why shouldn't he be able to enjoy a sandwich or walk run and playthat’s his right !

Grayson on a day to day is hard work, he can't feed himself,he can't walk or talk, I have no qualms doing anything for my son, I have neverknown any different, but could I bring 2 children up like this is the question? Would I have the time, would it be fair to Addison ? But would it be fair toAddison either way, you see I watch Addy even now at 8 MThs and she has to playon her own, Grayson has no interest in her, it's not his fault he doesn'tunderstand but I hate the thought of her being an only child, I loved having 3siblings, you never feel alone, you never are alone, but with 2 special needs children’swould we have any time for Addy.

I know in my heart having more children is so important toAsh and I, we love our babies, we love the thought of years to come when theyare playing together, days at the park, snuggles in bed, I feel slightlycheated that we may never have anymore, don't get me wrong I am hugely thankfulfor the 2 I have I KNOW we are luckier than some, but only with time am I sureour heads or heart will make the decision, I know either way we would love thatchild, we would care for it just as we have Grayson and Addison.

So to Grayson being 10 months old, on Friday Grayson had his2hr Developmental Assessment, as Grayson is now 3 these are more crucial as wehave to start a statement process for education basis, to try and decide whatthe government feel my child can handle (ugh), also at 3 is when the NHS statea child should be no longer classed as a baby, it was decided (finally) thatGrayson has huge social issues - I mean he doesn't even make eye contact - andthat the time had come to test for Social/Communicative Disorders e.g. Autism,I already know my son has autistic traits but what they shall decide will beinteresting. His Paed reviewed Grayson in every aspect of his life and finallyfor the 1st time gave us his real ages....

Social and Communication - Speech/gestures etc. - 6 monthsold
Physical Development - Walk/Stand/Sit etc - 10 months old
Communicative Play - how he plays with toys and learns - 6/8months old

I kinda had this in my head as I now have Addison to comparetoo, so this was not a shock but was nice its now down in writing, it’s veryhard to make people realise how Grayson is, I mean as many of you read this Iam sure you sometimes wonder how does he act, by the most part he is like asuper skinny, tall 8 mth old but without the kisses and cuddles.

So this past week has been busy in my little man’s world, hehas had 3 hrs of therapy appointments too and this week does not improve toomuch, he has already had 3 hrs of therapy and another 4 to go by Friday and aswell as that we take the long drive back To Evelina on Friday to meet his HipSpecialist and start a whole new line of problems, with potential operations,but he still gets up every day and bum shuffles and shouts at Kipper the Dogbecause he is AMAZING.

I turn round tonight by the time I turn back Addison has a new skill, yep she has pulled herslef up from sitting on the floor to the edge of the sofa, ok I know I am not great with when they should be able to do stuff but at just under 8mths this is crazy right ?

This is to date my favourite 366 picture, not because its fancy or by any means the best picture I have taken but because of it's content and the rarity of a moment caught.

For those of you who don't know my son has a rare genetic disorder and brain damage, he does not like his sister being anywhere near him and usually screams or pulls her hair, but tonight for nearly a minute Grayson allowed Addison to cuddle him, rub his back and lean on him, it was the most amazing thing I have seen since Addison has been born, there is hope.

My Week That Was Week #2

I am for the second week joining in the lovely linky from Mummy, Daddy and Me Makes 3, it's a great basic concept, just blog/journal the simple things from your past week, so that in years to come you can remember the little things of every day not just the big celebrations.

So my week was a busy one.

Monday saw the Hubby and I start out healthy life style kick, it also brought a big day as it was the 1st phone call in relation to Grayson's special needs trike, so now I really need to get organised and make the Fun Day HUGE.

The week still ran with no boiler as they couldn't come to install a new one till Wednesday, hubby had a busy day contending with 4 workman, the babies and 2 hrs of therapy for Grayson, whilst I was busy at work getting ready for an audit.

When I returned home on Wednesday Night, I was met with a brand new boiler that was broke, a burst pipe in the kitchen ceiling and a kitchen covered in wet plaster and mess.

Thursday morning we were up at the crack of dawn to let workmen in, as they had to be finished by 11am, so we could make the trip to Evelina Hospital, London to see Grayson's neurologist (post to come) - we took a nice 10 minute walk as we were early seeing some sights and working off the naughty Krispy Kreme.

Friday we had another 1/2 day of hospital visits for Grayson, which were much to be expected, but was super pleased to find when we picked Miss Addison up from Gamma's that she was now full blown Crawling. Cousin Finley also popped over for a playdate.

This little boy makes my heart melt, even when he is naughty I find it hard to be angry with him, he loves having fun and playing up in the air. It's amazing what he achieves even though he has so little strength.

I really missed my babies whilst at work today, the thing I miss the most about working so many hours is all Grayon's weekly therapy apt's, I love to hear of his success and good times but I do miss seeing them. He has done so well today with over 3 hours of therapy and hardly any complaint and his next 2 days are full of hospital apt's but he still gives a cheeky grin once and a while.

He is my inspiration in life.

Addison is a baby that has only 2 states, very Happy or Screaming, lately we seem to get more of this for sure, 10 secs previous she was giggling away playing with a Balloon, nothing happened apart from the screams, I pray this is teeth, although to be honest she has a right madam temperament on her so who knows.

For my 1st week of 2012.

It was a busy week here, Tuesday saw me return to work and Grayson return to Special Nursery.

On Wednesday my Baby Boy turned 3 and had a little Tea Party in the Evening.

Thursday was cold in our house as our Boiler blew up (still waiting for a new one) I couldn't go to work so we wrapped up warm and had a PJ day.

Friday - I had to venture to work on my day off (boo).

I completed a Day Zero Project task and made Ashley Roast Potato's for the 5th time, even I thought they were scrummy.

I started my 366 Project and although alot of my pictures are babies based, I am enjoying it and hoping as the weather improves I shall start looking into more what I take.

Grayson wore his gorgeous new Ava and Luc Tee too.

The week was lovely too as Addison is making some big development changes, she took a First ride in a Trolley at the Supermarket and Crawled a few steps (even though I am not sure she knew what she was doing).

Bit of a mish mash day here as still no boiler, but luckily Dad & Stepmum asked us over for warmth and a roast dinner. We of course obliged, my two TV addicts always love it at Pop's and Granny's as it's all about them on TV, Tinga Tales and ITNG.

It amazes me everyday how Addison grows, how she loves doing exercises on her front. When you have a child like Grayson as your 1st you don't realise how quickly babies develop and enjoy learning new skills, Push ups or Downward Dog Yoga position is Addison's current favourite.

5 Today - How Time Flies

It's been a week of Birthday's here, 2 days ago my little boy turned 3 and today my Blog is having it's 5th Birthday, I am so pleased and think that this is quite an achievement.

When I first posted back on 6th Jan 2007 my blog was for such different reasons, I had not long been making Jewellery and Selling it and it was recommended to me on a forum a blog was a great way for free advertisement and to share my pieces.

Over the years I have had dry spells, 2009 became a low blogging point for me as I was dealing with Grayson's disabilities and just trying to keep us all going, if I had half of the on line friends I share now I would have blogged a great deal more at those points to share how I was feeling with what was happening to my little boy and how our life would never be the same again.

I have this past year learnt to love my blog again, I have learnt its a place where no matter what I can be honest about my feelings, where I can share the ups and lows of being a parent, as well as all this I have been lucky enough to go to a Fisher Price sponsored event and share our views on some great products, for this we feel very fortunate.

Most importantly I am so thankful for the amazing community and friends I have met in 2011, I feel I can honestly say some of my closest friends are my on line ones and their support has been essential to my everyday life.

Today is Grayson's 3rd Birthday, I can't believe my little baby is 3, due to Grayson's disabilities we don't make a huge effort as he doesn't understand and he doesn't like change from routine, so we had our immediate family round for some tea.

Look at his little expression, 1st time he really has looked at his cake before, think the Kipper I made scared him.

I can't believe today is your 3rd Birthday, you are still my Baby Boy, so 3 sounds so grown up.

It has been a hard 3 years my precious son, we have seen some awful times together but you have been stronger than anyone I have ever met, especially Mummy. Everyday I am thankful to wake up and see you, even when it's 3am.

So today my little one enjoy it being your day, I am sure you shall have the most fun with Jane and the girls for your couple hours at Special Nursery, but when you come home all the family that love you dear will be there to play and enjoy time with their favourite Grandson/Nephew/Brother.

I am proud to call you my son, I am thankful for the small changes these past few months, for the way you cuddle me when your tired or not feeling well, for the bites you do just so I know you are there and for the kisses you have let me give you this past week at bedtime, those kisses melt Mummies heart more than I can describe.

2012 - A Fresh New Me

Hi All

Happy New Year, 2011 is behind us and although I am very thankful for many things its gave me including a beautiful daughter, there has been a great deal of turmoil.

2012 at the moment is looking like a bad start, but I am not going to be down about it, I am going to embrace all the complications it may throw at me as I want this year to be brilliant.

So what am I planning for 2012, it's a long list just of BIG things.

1. I am setting myself a Smile Challenge, I want to make someone smile each day, in different ways, I am hoping that some of you will be those people, if I make you smile please let me know, I shall be tweeting all about it, you see smiles change lives, a friend of mine once said it was someone that took the time to make her smile that stopped her taking her own life, yes that's grand scale but lets be honest when you are down an act of kindness no matter how small helps.

2. Grayson's Great Fun Day - More details will follow in many posts over 2012, a great deal of you know I am hosting a charity fun day on 25th Aug 2012 in honour of my Son, the main event I shall be having my head shaved, I am very excited and apprehensive about the event, I want it to be a huge success.

3. 366 Photo Challenge - for the past 2 yrs I have completed a Flickr 365 Photo Challenge, of uploading a photo a day (flickr photo link on right) 2010 I was not too successful but 2011 I managed every day, this year thanks to The Boy and Me I have decided to upload a photo a day on my blog, I am not sure yet if I shall do a separate post each day or tag it on the end but it shall be fun and I am sure mostly of my babies - but it is my blog!

4. I will try to complete more of my Day Zero Project - I have completed so little of it over the past year and I know I can not complete all 101 tasks but I shall try my hardest to do a better job to achieve things for ME.

5. Loose weight - I know that old nutshell, but I have too, I have a couple of medical issues that came up in 2011 and my doctor is concerned that my weight is causing major issues, I have major psychological issues with food as a whole, but I hoping with the help of my Hubby to take charge and find the happy me this year.

6. Last but by no means least, I want to really get to Cybher 12 and meet some amazing friends, I still have no sponsor and if Jan pans out as I think it will there will be no way for me to send myself, so please make me smile and sponsor me (info can be found top right).

So how is 2012 looking for you ?

My 2 babies shall achieve much this year I am sure, I am hoping for one to be able to walk and one to be able to stand this year, both would make my heart smile and cry.

The gorgeous Alli from Mum 2 Four tagged me in this Christmas Meme, I know I am a day late but it is still the Christmas break, I wont tag anyone as we are past the Big Day but do join in if you would like to.

So here are my answers to The Ultimate Christmas Meme:

1. The Christmas song I can even listen to in June is…
If you have read my last post you will know it's Bing Crosby's White Christmas, truly beautiful.

2. Hot chocolate, egg nog or mulled wine?
I have never tried Egg Nog or Mulled Wine, both in my head sound horrible, but to be honest I don't drink either so that also maybe why, but I do LOVE a Hot Chocolate, not just at Xmas either.

3. When do you put your decorations up?
I was always taught to be a traditionalist and do the 12 days, but this past few years to get me in the spirit I changed my mind and I always get them up the 1st week in December before my birthday on the 6th.

4. What are you having for Christmas dinner?
My Christmas has 4 meals, one of the joys of separated families.
Christmas Eve, I cook for my MIL and family, she loves my Shepherd's Pie, so I do that with all the trimmings and will bake a cake.
Christmas Day - My Mom's will be Roast Beef (yummy) as we have Turkey at Thanksgiving (Mom's American).
Boxing Day - AM late fried Breekie courtesy of my Stepmum, PM extended family have a huge party and we all bring dishes, as we are from all over the world its such a feast.

5. What’s your favourite Christmas tradition?
It's sad but we don't really have any, we had them as children but since moving out not so much, as both my kids are tiny and do not understand Xmas yet we haven't made any, my Hubby likes us to open a present Xmas Eve Night but that shall not happen as we can not afford presents to each other this year.
Hopefully as the children grow we shall start some.

6. Have you ever gone carol singing?
Yes - god knows why as I can't sing, but always did as children.

7. When did you discover the truth about Santa?
Santa is real, but he gets the Mummy's and Daddy's to bring the gifts as he is so tired, that's right isn't it. I found out quite young due to family issues, but it never lost the magic for me as I made sure my Brothers and Sister did not find out till they were older.

8. How do you decorate your Christmas tree?
I have different trees, the Kitchen has a little Pink Tree with Kitsch and Cute Dec's.
The main tree is white lights and traditional wooden dec's and balls etc, no Tinsel here I am afraid.

10. All I want for Christmas is…..
To be able to have somewhere to house my children in the New Year and to make this a Happy Family Christmas.

NEXT Year - Davina Shall Help me

It's fast approaching 2012, with that in mind comes a great deal of busy occasions for me and embarrassment/upset and arguments are rearing there ugly head.

Why you ask?

Well it's my weight as always, you see 2 babies later and a ton of food I am a very plus sized lady, to top it all off I am a short arse, none of this bodes too well for me fitting in a pretty long flowing dress as Matron of Honour in Aug 2012 for my sister's wedding, or me not feeling hugely upset when I meet all my blogging friends for the first time at Cybher.
To make matters worse my weight is affecting my health, after a recent hospital visit it was determined my excess weight is not helping my major BP issues or that of my joint disorder.

So I made a promise to myself, it's time to step away from the chocolate and takeaways and start a new way of life, this isn't just about looking good for me, it's a serious matter, but if I am going to set about exercising again, going for a run in the evenings, or stepping back into my yoga class I need to look the part and the gorgeous Davina and Next are on the right track to helping me with that.

My Ultimate Christmas Song

I am no good with Songs and their names, I usually just like something and then ask the hubby 1000 times over, "Who's this ?" but I knew my Christmas song in a flash.
You see my Mom is a sucker for the classics at Christmas and over the past 15 years on the day we put the Dec's up we always put the CD on and have a good sing.Bing Crosby White Christmas is my favourite, I sing it beautifully and dance round the room just like I am on Strictly (he he), so that's my Ultimate, what's yours do share.

As we are just coming up to Christmas I thought I would share a picture of Grayson on his 1st Xmas back in 2009, Grayson was in hospital for days before Xmas and we luckily managed to get discharged with hours to spare, Grayson had a Jumperoo come from Santa (ssh so has Addison this year).

I love doing this part of Friday Photo Time, I think its great how it makes you look back and remember memories, this was such a happy and sad day for us.

My Friday Phone Photo Dump is not all too exciting this week as my whole household has been overrun with infections and colds, but here is my week in pictures.

Fisher-Price Discover & Grow Story Book Projection Soother - Review

We are huge Fisher Price fans in the Innocent Charms Chats family and we don't hide this, we already have a Fisher Price Projection Mobile which Grayson got from his Pop's when he was 1st born, we had wanted to move this onto Addison's cot as it includes a mobile but due to Grayson loving what we call his "pictures" before bed we hadn't been able to do so, so when we were sent the Discover & Grow Story Book Projector to review from Fisher Price we thought our problems were solved.

Basic Description of the Fisher Price Discover & Grow Story Book Projector.

"This cot attaching soother brings four favourite rhymes to life with eight colour projections and up to 20 minutes of music to soothe baby. Baby can enjoy Hey Diddle Diddle, Hickory Dickory Dock, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and Rockabye Baby, followed by a lullaby and classical music. Parents can join in the bedtime stories as each turn of the page changes the images projected onto the ceiling, or use the handy remote control to start the story without disturbing baby. As baby grows and develops and learns to sit-up, he can activate the stories himself with the simple turn of a page."

So initially the Projector was put onto Grayson's bed, its simple to install, just a couple of batteries and then you clip it onto the bed, even I can do it.

We had hoped that the story and music would relax him to sleep whilst he watched the image on the ceiling, what we hadn't realised was the pictures are completely static and flick between 2 images per story, Grayson's Projector Fisher-Price Precious Planet 2-in-1 Projection Cot Mobile has moving pictures that project onto the ceiling and heartbeat sounds to soothe him to sleep.

We tried for over 2 weeks to get Grayson interested in the Storybook, he did not like that the pictures didn't move and although he could sit up and touch the unit the concept of turning the pages was too complex for Grayson.

We thought all was lost, then one day whilst I was at work the hubby decided to swap the projectors over (as to be honest Addy had not been interested in the mobile part), Grayson was pleased to have his unit back and instant smiles appeared, but how would Addison get one with the Storybook Projector.

Teddy Bear Night Light

Well she loved it, unlike Grayson she liked the fact the picture was static, it did not seem to bother her at the young age of 6 months, she likes the story aspect but when the lady sings and then plays classical music she smiles with delight (the lady has a very calming voice), she also loves the fact that the little Teddy lights up as a night light whilst it's on and lays there and strokes it.

There are 4 stories, including my favourite Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, the unit attaches to the cot incredibly securely and I have no fear even when Addison bangs it that it will come off, there are no parts which she could choke on or swallow, I can't wait till she is a little older and can turn the pages herself as this is one of the only downsides that I have to go in the room and change them, but it does continue to play pretty music after each story.

Twinkle Twinkle - Picture Projection

I think as proved in this review every child is different, although Grayson from 6 months took very well to his Fisher Price Projection Mobile and has continued so, Addison did not seem interested in items moving around, they would just keep her awake where as the story book with its more basic features works well for her.

I do think Projection units from Fisher Price are fantastic and have kept both my babies happy.

Next - It's Christmas!

As I was out shopping with Addison last week I was stopped by the Next Window, I loved their Christmas theme this year, I am usually one for a very over the top window but I liked the fact Next's was understated and glamorous.

As one of my Day Zero Project Tasks I made a promise to myself to buy 5 new Christmas Dec's each year, I changed my theme to traditional Red/Green last year so I have few decorations but I do have some gorgeous ones from Next in the past, so when I saw the window I thought I must check out Next's delights this year.

Next this year have gone all out, having decorations for every colour scheme and theme.

I love traditional red but this has a great modern twist

The Silver and White theme is so Ice Pretty - would look great in a modern home

I must say I think the Purple theme is quite striking, I have this year bought a little Pink tree for my Kitchen and I think I may tie some purple dec's into the theme.

So my #FlashbackFriday this week is of my little Grayson back in July 2009 on his 6 month birthday, I picked this as Addison turned 6 months this past week (post here) so it made me look back at Grayson at the same time, he was and is so adorable but I do miss his cheeky 6m smile.

Luckily we were all well enough to join Thanksgiving Dinner last night at my Mom's who is American so that made for a good end to a bad week.

Knitted Finger Puppets from Baby E - Review

Sonia from Mummy Loves kindly had us do a guest review for The Peppa Knitted Animal Finger Puppets, to see the review and many fab giveaways visit Sonia's Blog.
We were lucky enough to be sent The Peppa Knitted Animal Finger Puppets in Gift Bag from Baby E.

First off I was hugely pleased that the Animal Finger Puppets are made in a lovely little village in India and are helping to support Fair Trade, in many walks of my life I have purposely bought Fair Trade items where possible and I was pleased to follow this through with toys for my little munchkins.

When I opened the handy little pouch the Finger Puppets came in, I was not disappointed to find these gorgeous little hand knitted animals, they have the sweetest faces and personalities.
Initially I had thought the Finger Puppets would be geared more towards Grayson, to help with his developmental issues, but once I started showing them to Grayson and making the animal noises, Addison's little face began to smile and show interest.

There are 5 animals included in the little gift set for £10.99, Tiger/Panda/Crocodile/Lion and Elephant, we actually played with the Elephant as a Mouse, I think that's one of the great things about the puppets you can interpret and play with them anyway yours or your child's imagination allows.

The puppets are interactive play toys for the whole family from a young age, we would stroke them against Addy and Gray's faces whilst making animal noises so they can distinguish and learn, in particular I think they both enjoyed the Lion the most because of the mane, it is the most tactile of the puppets and would tickle there nose whilst we played.
The puppets fit into the changing bag with ease and we even took them to one of Grayson's therapy sessions and the therapist loved them, they said puppets are a great developmental tool as they give you a chance to get the child interested and motivated whilst trying to help physical weaknesses, we used them to distract Grayson whilst he was strengthening his leg tone.

I think the great thing about the puppets is not only do the babies enjoy them now at 6 months and 2 years but as they get older and there playing changes they will probably use them in games with one another without the help of us.

All in all we as a family love the puppets, they have worked well, particularly more with Addy at bringing on her sensory development, they have become a permanent fixture in our nappy bag for trips out as they take little space and being organic and fair trade makes them all the better.

Dear Addison,

I can't believe we have got here, 6 months ago today I was lying in a hospital room praying you would be ok, crying in pain and wishing your life would start better than your big brothers.
What Mummy didn't prepare herself for I think was what was about to happen.

You came into the world tinier than I had imagined, you were beautiful just like your brother but with killer lips and I was thankful that by all intense purposes you were ok, you had your little problems for the 1st 24hrs but then you came home.

You fell in love with your brother at 1st sight, I wish I could say the same for him but you know he struggles, you had your problems, you cried and cried and barely slept but you had a poorly belly and it was not your fault.

I am sorry Addy though, Mummy was not prepared in her mind for a perfect baby, I think I was so worried for you, I had not thought what it would be like when you finally arrived, Mummy struggled and is still struggling and for that I am so sorry. I loved and love you more than I can write but I am sorry I could not give you the affection and tenderness you needed in those first few weeks, one day I shall explain to you the difficulties of PND and the shame attached to it, I feel shame everyday for my actions my little one but I know I love you and nothing can falter that.

I am so proud to see such a warm, kind, beautiful, little minx appearing before my eyes, you are so full of life and intrigue, I have not seen such interest and excitement before in someone so small, your smile lights a room, you hold peoples attention the minute there eyes reach yours, you already have such a fantastic talent to wrap anyone around your finger.

Polkadot Princess at 5 months

Most importantly my beautiful daughter I can see how you watch your brother, you idolise him, I can see in your eyes you already know he differs from you, but it bothers you not, instead you are trying to mirror everything he does, from sucking your thumb, to eating labels and chewing your toes, you would even rather bum shuffle than crawl even though your strength does not permit.
I know in my heart you will love Grayson more than any other person on this planet, I know you shall be in his corner for life and that make Mummy very proud.

Lastly Addison don't ever think you are not as special to me as your brother, there shall be times when Mummy and Daddy can not be with you, where we shall have to be by your brothers side in hospital or away but you my child are extra special as you shall understand this and smile.

I love you Addy Wad's, you are the child I have waited for, for a very long time, Happy 6 Months and here is to so many more birthdays together.

1. Describe yourself in 7 words ?

Short, Mum, Loving, Crazy, Hardworking, Untidy and Shy.

2. What keeps you awake at night ?

What doesn't, well apart from my 2 munchkins, I suffer with anxiety and depression so I am constantly over worrying, I also have a hormone issue which gives me frequent Night Terrors.

3. If you could be anyone for a day, who would you be and why ?

Easy Grayson, I would love to know how he is feeling, whether he knows I am his Mummy, whether he is in pain, whether he is happy.

4. What are you wearing now ?

PJ's, if I am at home and no one special is round (eg I don't care too much about the family) I am always in PJ's, today's are flowery bottoms and a Lacy vest and no BRA - I love BRT (Bra Removal Time).

5. What scares you ?

My Babies this Month

Until having children it was obvious things, but since having kids it's everything, I am terrified I wont be in their lives, I constantly see the danger in everything and it makes me very fearful.

6. What is the best and worst thing about blogging ?

The best is hands down the amazing friends I have met through blogging, Alli who tagged me for example, we had talked maybe twice and she sent a toy I had wanted for Grayson.

The worst is how much it plays in my insecurities, when no one comments I go inward a little more.

7. What was the last website you looked at ?

SWAN UK Blog - A very helpful post and a great website helping families with SWAN babies like Grayson.

8. If you could change one thing about yourself what would it be ?

My weight - shallow I know.

9. Slankets - Yes or No ?

I personally don't have one as our little flat is very warm, but I would never say no to one, Ashley has always wanted one.

10. Tell us something about the person who tagged you ?

Alli is one of the kindest ladies I know, she is Mama to 4 gorgeous kiddo's her youngest Harry is such a character, we have not known each other very long but she always checks on Twitter to see how things are going. She also was luckily enough to win one of my Handmade Necklaces and has been very kind about its design. I am thankful to have her as a friend, she always waves to me on her way down to visit family in Dover.

Friday Photo Time - Week 10

Can't believ we have been having fun with Friday Photo Time for 10 weeks, it's nice to see different people joining in each week and also some lovely regulars, thats what I like about this blog hop, its something you can take part in every week or once a month if thats when you have the time - there is no pressure.

For my #FlashbackFriday this week I have pictured one of my Wedding Proof's from November 2004, I felt it only fitting as it is our 7 yr anniversary on Sunday.

We married in a beautiful castle down on the coast, our day was filled with many problems, but all in all we loved being married to each other.

There are not too many pictures for my "Friday Phone Photo Dump" it has been a hell of a week with all of us being very unwell, big move for my business and a very long day in hospital in London for my little boy, but at least the Cath Kidston cheered us up.

Fisher Price Play Party - Lots of Fun

As some of you may know in our home we call ourselves the Fisher Price Family as it pops up every where. At feed time/ playtime/ bath time and bedtime, so when we got invited to the Fisher Price Play Party in London last week we snapped at the chance.

We did not regret it either, we were met by a room full of brand new toys for Addy's and Grayson's age range, some fab staff to help play with the children, delicious snacks and some truly lovely members of the Fisher Price family.

It was also a great added bonus to meet some of my blogging/twitter mama friends and put faces to our tweets.

The event started with the children familiarising themselves with the toys, Grayson was particularly keen on the Mickey Mouse (not surprising we have most on the market) and Addison was overjoyed by testing the new Luv U Zoo Jumperoo, bouncing to her hearts content, enjoying being up on her toes.

As the children were kept entertained trying, car spinning toys, tea sets, play mats and much more, we had a fab talk/presentation with the MD of Fisher Price's Play Lab from the US, Debbie was such a down to earth warm lady who showed us new products that have come onto the market courtesy of Mum's like me and you having our say, we also got to view the new Fisher Price TV Ad's which have been filmed in real life homes, with real life families. I must say I really did enjoy the ad's they showed another side to Fisher Price toys being played with, very touching and a much better understanding of how the toys would fit into our lives.

The Animal Choo Choo Train - Perfect for developing crawling

Ashley and I were particularly taken with 2 of the new toys shown, as I said above the new Dance Star Mickey and Fisher Price Amazing Animals Choo Choo Train, both babies seemed alert and intrigued by the toys, both promote developmental skills which is very important in our household and Santa shall be bringing both these for my little babies(ssh).

The day was finished of very nicely with a generous bag of Fisher Price toys for us to get about road testing (reviews to follow) including the fab new Laugh and Learn Aptivity case, which we are looking forward to road testing as on several occasions Grayson has dribbled into our iPhones.

Dribblebuster Bib Review - This Mummy Loves

Our close friend Sonia of Mummy Loves kindly asked my little Addy to review a bib from DribbleBuster, please go to Sonia's blog to see the full review and other awesome items in her Christmas Gift Guide.

The lovely people of DribbleBuster recently sent us the most gorgeous floral designed Bandanna Bib for my beautiful little teething girl to put to the test.

An intro into DribbleBuster

"Dribblebuster was started in 2007 when my first grandson was born, he was constantly getting chills on his chest from the dampness of dribble. I found that ordinary bibs didn't really help the problem and besides they hid his lovely outfits.

As an experienced dressmaker and designer, I began to experiment with a number of different designs and perfected the Dribblebuster. My grandson can now keep the same outfit on all day, massively cutting down on the laundry pile. He no longer gets chills and to top it all, he looks gorgeous."

I have to say on first impressions I was surprised by how lovely and light the bib was, unlike some of the shop bought Bandanna Bibs.

I was so pleased with the beautiful feminine design, I am one for a pretty floral print and the colours of the bib really looked lovely with Addison's heavily pink wardrobe.

Addison is drooling to major extremes, in the past month she had ended up with a little dribble rash and her clothes were being changed frequently thanks to her either soaking through standard bibs or ripping them off and drooling directly onto her clothes.

The Dribblebuster bib did stop all of this. Although very thin, Addy wore the bib for over 5 hours and it never soaked through, thanks in part to the soft fleecing backing which felt so lovely against her skin. The bibs come with a Velcro fastening, which I am normally a little against, as Addison tends to pull them right off, but with the Dribblebuster that was not the case, the Velcro is very heavy duty but sewed in far enough so it doesn't irritate little ones skin and I think the shear size of the bib meant Addison was not to interested in trying to rip it off and chew.

I have to say all in all we are very pleased with the Dribblebuster Bib, it does exactly what it describes all whilst adding a beautiful touch to my daughters already styling outfits and I think at £7.99 each or 3 for £21.00 they are great value.

The Gallery - Faces

Tara set a great theme this week for The Gallery - Faces.
She gave us 2 weeks to think about the theme, as I took Grayson to the hospital this week for his EEG it hit me what I would post, as you all know Grayson is Special Needs and has no form of communication verbally at all.

Grayson's Face is the most important thing for being his Mama as it's my only way of communication, the facial expressions he uses are our form of talking, when he looks at me longingly its his way of telling me he is scared, when he smiles I know he is happy.

As a parent many of you will remember how important it was when your babies started talking as you knew what they were feeling, so Grayson's face are his first words.

Thanks Tara for making me think about this theme and making me see another great thing about being Grayson's Mama.

My lovely friend Sian from Fishfingers4Tea tagged me way back in April to take part in the Guardian Q&A meme, I have had so much going on but finally got around to taking part, apologies Sian for the delay.

Which living person do you most admire, and why?

My Dad for his work ethic, the way he has supported his family and worked so hard, coping with some very difficult times.

When were you happiest ?

When I met my husband Ashley, I had been at the worst point in my life and he lifted me from that.

What was your most embarrassing moment ?

Far too many to remember, I constantly do stupid things, I am sure the time I told my sister in law she was getting a new car when it was supposed to be a surprise is one of them.

Aside from property, what's the most expensive thing you have ever bought ?

The most expensive thing is my current car, I wish it wasn't as I don't even particularly like it but I had to get a big car for Grayson's equipment.

I wish it was something fun like shoes.

What is your most treasured possession ?

Apart from children of course, it would be my Laurie Lynn doll that I got when I was born.

Where would you like to live ?

Southern Ireland I think, such a pretty place and some lovely people.

What's your favourite smell ?

Oh toughie, its probably either Baby Powder, Bread Baking or Cinnamon, thank god for Yankee Candles as I get all of them.

Who would play you in the film of your life ?

I have absolutely no idea, I am open to suggestions, it would have to be a big chick cause I am and I wouldn't like to misrepresent myself.

What is your favourite book ?

This is way too hard to answer, before my babies I would read a minimum of a book a week. I really do enjoy a true story, sadly not very nice ones too, its the sociologist in me.

I must say for some unknown reason I don't enjoy the classic books like Catcher and the Rye etc. But I do love a lot of Shakespeare.

What is your most unappealing habit ?

Either my untidiness or my clingy-ness, the hubby is always annoyed by the state I leave everywhere I have been and I am sure I would have friends if not for my incessant need to feel needed.

What would be your fancy dress costume of choice ?

It is Betty Boop, I would like to say I have her gorgeous figure alas I do not.

What is your earliest memory ?

It's when I was about 5/6, both involve my brothers, the 1st the day my baby brother was born in the snow in 1987 and my Mom had to go in an Ambulance, the 2nd when my other brother died and was brought back to life due to bad surgery in the Hurricane. Weather and my brothers go hand in hand.

What is your guiltiest pleasure ?

Lounging in my PJ's all day watching true movies with ten ton of junk food.

What do you owe your parents ?

Well my Dad a great deal of money. But what else, love and compassion, but most of all support no matter what, they will be there for me whatever happens and we have a great friendship, for that I know I am lucky.

To whom would you most like to say sorry, and why ?

This was the easiest one to answer, I think in a way that's sad. Over 10 year ago now my best friend committed suicide, we hadn't spoken for a few months due to another supposed friend, which I still feel guilty for to this day, I wish she had come to me, I wish we had talked and I had helped her through her pain and that she was here enjoying life with me now.

What or who is the greatest love of your life ?

Kind of an obvious answer but its my little babies and my Hubby Ash. Ashley changed my life in a way I never knew possible, he saved me from hell and I will love him forever no matter what.

What does love feel like ?

It feels like the best butterflies in your stomach but at the same time the greatest fear in the world. I am at my happiest and saddest since being in love.

What was the best kiss of your life ?

My 3rd kiss with Ashley, we kissed for over 3 hours straight, it was beautiful, I had never felt so happy, in love and safe all at the same time.

Which words or phrases do you overuse ?

Funnily I can't think of any, I asked the hubby and he couldn't too, I defiantly swear way too much.

What is the worst job you have done ?

Working at Next in the Summer Sale, it was extremely busy and one of the hottest summers on record (pre aircon) I ended up fainting on 4 occasions over the 6 week period I worked.

If you could edit your past what would you change ?

I am afraid I am one of those people that hand on heart says nothing, there are things I wish were not as they were like Grayson's health, but I believe that all the good and bad things have made me me and brought me to this point in my life, with my Husband, Son and Daughter.

What is the closest you have come to death ?

I personally haven't thank whoever the powers are. But Grayson stopped breathing several times but firstly when he was 4 months old and I was on my own, it was the most terrifying moment of my life and far to close to death.

What do you consider your greatest achievement ?

Addison and Grayson are the most obvious. Grayson especially is a beautiful amazing little boy, I still have no understanding of how he copes with what life throws at him, but also I am so proud of how I have coped this past 2 1/2 years, I never thought it would be possible.

When did you last cry and why ?

At the moment every other day, hormones, well actually I cry a great deal as a person, I have taught myself it makes me feel better. Lately alot over my concerns with my babies health and also Grayson's achievements.

How do you relax ?

I love to do girly things like Nails, Facials etc of late my only rest is sleeping.

What single thing would improve the quality of your life ?

Its an awful answer but Money, with a huge capital M. Its looks like Ashley and I may loose our jobs, we don't own a home and that I find hard, due to Grayson's ever growing difficulties we will need to have a home adapted to make his life easier but living in rented accommodation means there is no possibility of that, it saddens me as I feel I am failing as a parent.

What is the most important lesson life has taught you ?

That no matter what is thrown at me I am tougher than I ever thought, I never would have believed you if 5 yrs ago you had said I was in debt to the hilt, 2 children, one who is highly disabled yet I am Happy. We shall always get through as my little family has each other.

Tick, tick, tick - Day Zero Project Update

I may only have 386 days left and completed 33% but I am not disappointed, as like I stated in my previous Day Zero Post at least I have achieved some.

So I thought I would update you on my most recent tasks completed.

The most obvious

35. Have at least one more baby.

Well most of you will know by now that back in May, the gorgeous Addison was born, here's an up to date picture of my little Minx.

26. Use my Slow Cooker.

I am a slow cooker convert, I love it and have used it four times in the past 3 weeks, thanks to the lovely The Modirer I have cooked Beef Stew and a Gammon Joint. Next I am trying a Chicken Casserole.

46. Win a Competition.

I hate to brag but I have won 3 in the past many months, I feel so honoured, today I received the Gumigem Necklace I won through Accidentally Kle's Blog, can't wait to give it a try.

And lastly, a month ago we took the kids to Chessington for the day and I got to complete number

87. Go on a Bumper Car

No one took a piccy of me but I took this from my bumper car of the hubby

It was awesome and has made me want to go on them all the more, I felt just like a teenager again.

So how is everyone else's DZP going, better than mine I would hope, I have started writing my list for my next, I shall this time try to be that little bit more realistic knowing our families situation, but all the same it shall be fun.

My video is of my little monkey back in 2009. We have no idea but when we used to make this noise it was the only thing we found that would make Grayson laugh. Our 1st communication with our special needs son.

Ava and Luc PJ Review - Thanks to Mummy Loves

Here is a review that we got to do with thanks to my dear friend Sonia, Mummy Loves, the review can be seen in full on her blog, including a fab discount code, go now these PJ's are awesome.

"'Ava & Luc’ was born in September 2010 after we (Janice Rokita and Vicki Leaver) found that our high expectations of childrens clothing were not being met. Fed up with pastel blues, pale pinks, ‘cutesie’ prints and highly impractical garment design (if you’ve ever tried to get a round neck T shirt over a 12 month child’s head or had a toddler cry about a logo label irritating their neck when you’re out and about with no scissors with you, you’ll identify with the problems they faced!), we started to sketch out what we felt would be an ‘ideal’ sleepsuit, bib, T shirt and pair of pyjamas, then canvassed friends and family for opinions. After lots of positive feedback, we set about manufacturing a capsule collection of clothing with an ethical supplier based in India (no child labour used, employees are paid fairly and work reasonable hours) "

How right are these ladies, Grayson is just coming up 3, he is super tall for his age but also super skinny, PJ's don't last long in our house, they always fade, fray and can not live up to Grayson's bum shuffling.

I was so pleased when the "Stegosaurus Print PJ's" arrived, beautifully packaged and raring to be tested.

Not only that we both loved the fact that the ankles of the bottoms have elastic to stop him getting cold legs in the evenings, as this frequently happens with standard jammies.

As said above labels can always be a worry about irritating little ones skin, especially Gray's as he suffers with Eczema, well not with Ava & Luc's PJ's, as they sew them on the outside, we thought this was a fab idea and looked pretty trendy too.

Grayson and Daddy put about testing the PJ's in full, Grayson always has a good acrobatic session with Daddy in the evenings to wind down and these really held up, no riding up from the top and no falling down from the trousers.

So all in all we are in love with Ava and Luc PJ's, we shall be adding them to Grayson's Xmas list to Santa and probably Addison's too so she can't match her big brother, cause even though she looked cute in her PJ's she wants in on the Ava & Luc action.

Its been a busy week here, not all too good, on the same day we ended up with Grayson and Ashley in hospital and all whilst I started Slimming World (not good when you want chocolate for stress) but we got through and some with cute pictures in tow.

The Gallery - My Inspiration

When I popped by Tara's blog last Friday night to see what theme she had set for this weeks Gallery post, I have never been more sure since taking part on the pictures I would use.

This week's theme is: Inspirational People.

Who has inspired you? A relative, your own mum, your dad, a close friend, someone famous, a stranger even.Let's give these wonderful unsung heroes a platform to shine from.

I knew most would think I would instantly probably pick my little Grayson, trust me he is incredibly Inspirational but he doesn't hold the spot for me as the most Inspirational Person in my life, hands down that goes to my husband Ashley.

We have been together for 10yrs this coming February and we have been through some tough times, but none as hard as what we have had to deal with this past 3 years. Every time we find out something new or scary about Grayson, Ashley holds me close and says it will be fine, not just to make me feel better but because he 99% believes in his heart that it will be, he takes it all in his stride and this has not faltered since the birth of our little girl.

He has stepped up once again, when i got PND it was Ashley that I turned too, when I found it hard cause Addy would scream for hours, Ash didn't break down, nope he fought through and now that I have had to return to work as the main breadwinner Ashley has stepped up again when most men wouldn't and taken to the role of SAHD with ease.

So my inspirational person, I have the pleasure of laying next to each night and waking up with each morning.

Most of you are probably wondering what a SWAN is, Grayson is a SWAN - a child with "A Syndrome without a Name" in otherwords a child who is disabled and can not be diagnosed, if you follow me on Twitter you will know that we have recently been told by the geneticists at London that Grayson is extremely UNIQUE and there are no other children like him in the UK, this didn't upset us, we know our little boy is special, he is different, I have scoured the WWW trying to find another child like my little boy and as of yet that has not happened.

They told us it was unlikely we would ever find out what is "wrong" with Grayson and that he shall now probably become part of a non-invasive research program to see if he can not help children in the future.

I can't say Ashley and I were happy with this answer, but we have accepted it and feel pleased Grayson may help future children.
Not 5 minutes had this happened that then our lives have been turned upside down again, it has taken me a few weeks to share this information but you my blogging family have helped me so much in the past I wanted to continue to share Grayson's progress, a few weeks ago I noticed Grayson would have bouts of laughing, followed by being up from 3am most nights just randomly laughing in the dark, I knew in my Mummy gut something was not right, after discussions with his paed it was decided a MRI needed to be actioned, this shall take place on the 11th, I am apprehensive as they have told us they think he is having Gelastic Seizures, causes of these seizures can be numerous things but they feel it maybe either a Brain Tumour or problems with the bleed Grayson previously had, I think I always thought the day would come that something more serious would happen with Grayson, that his life maybe in danger, but in my heart I thought we would have more time.

I hope they are wrong, I hope we have more time, I hope my sons brain is not being plagued again by serious issues, I am not sure how much more he can take and why should he.

So back to SWAN UK and the video at the top of this post, I found this through their You Tube channel, it was posted by a fellow SWAN mummy and it is a brilliant description of how our lives feel. I thank her for putting into words my feelings in my heart so I can share them with you my friends.

The Gallery - Colour

This week's theme is: Colour.
Just one colour, whichever one you like, just pick one.
There is a whole load of beautiful colours out there just ripe for the snapping.

I really wanted my colour to be Pink or course, or the gorgeous Red leaves as I love Autumn but with being so busy I have not got to photograph as much as I would like this week, then I remembered this picture I had taken a couple of weeks ago with just my iPhone, I think the Purple pops so amazingly.
Its of the flower beds in Whitstable Castle grounds.
It is my favourite shade of purple and surprising to see such colour at the end of September.

We like to be Funky - so thanks Funky Giraffe Bibs

The lovely people of Funky Giraffe Bibs noticed through the wonderful world of twitter that I am constantly complaining, oops I mean discussing, how much my 2 little munchkins drool.

Addison is obviously just getting to the beginning of the teething months and is constantly soaking her bibs through to her clothes, I would like to say this has stopped with Grayson but unfortunately like a great deal of disabled children Grayson has a large drooling problem due to frequently having his hands in his mouth.

So when Funky Giraffe Bibs offered us the chance to test out their bandanna bibs I bit their hands off, I hate un-pretty bibs, I spend a fortune on pretty bibs, but they still always cover up their gorgeous outfits and by the most part get soaked through, this is where Funky Giraffes Bandanna bibs stand out from the crowd.

Funky giraffe make fashion styled bibs from a soft cotton outer layer and a fleece lined back, so they should stop the greatest dribble from escaping to the clothes, on top of this the great design lip means they sit up right under babies chin to stop horrible dribble rash, before this review we had only used one Bandanna bib from the supermarket which cost a staggering £9, I must say it had worked well but after a few tumble dries was starting to falter.

Well not these, both my little ens have tried and tested the Funky Giraffe Bibs for over 2 weeks now, they have been washed at 40 degrees and tumbled numerous times and are the same as the day they arrived.

But did they stop the dribble getting through ?

Indeed they did, I was amazed to be honest, we used them on a weekend out, a day at Sheffield Park, when they were both sat in their pushchairs so dribbled and drooled a great deal and at our local Cider Festival where they were being passed around.

The only reason I had to change bibs was purely because the fronts were soaking wet, the fleece back and the kiddies clothes were bone dry, it was astonishing (even their grandparents where amazed as they thought was a bit of a fad and I was being silly), no horrible stain marks on the kids clothes at all and to top it all off you could see their gorgeous outfits, I think they made a great addition, don't you?

We were also sent a new XL Bandanna bib to try out which is a new concept and concept it should be no more, as I said Grayson is nearly 3 and due to his special needs drools a lot but is obviously larger than a normal little baby, this worked wonders, he could drool to his hearts content and not a sip went through.

So I shall favourably be recommending these to my friends with hundreds of designs and at 4 bibs for £8.60 bargain doesn't cut it, we shall also be ordering some more this week to get us through the tough teething times ahead.

My Flashback Friday this week is back in December 2008, this is My Baby Brother on his Graduation day with me and his Neph to be as he called him (born 3 weeks later) I love this picture as its one of the rare times I have got to see my brother these past 3 years since he moved to London.

Here is part 2, my Phone Dump for the week, Addy has been on top form for pictures this week and not only that we took a lovely trip to Sheffield Park at the weekend which gave for beautiful photo's.

Versatile Blogger, Maybe???

Autumn is in my opinion (which is right) is the best time of year, pretty colours, best weather and no heating sun.

Pink is my favourite colour, well that's not entirely true as I believe the whole world is Pink and its not simply a colour.

My favourite film of all time is Mary Poppins, I even own 3 DVD copies, which I have never watched.

I am scared of cooking a roast chicken.

If I could dress like anyone it would be Paloma Faith.

I have suffered with Bipolar/Manic Depression since I was 13, but have learnt to control it very well.

I want 4 children and am halfway there.

The Gallery - Home ?????

The Gallery theme simply - Home.

"There's no place like it, right?

So what makes your home 'home'? What's your favourite bit, a favourite corner, a room with a story to tell? Is there something in your home you wouldn't be without, or a treasured item, or something passed down the generations?"

This picture maybe confusing a few then, home, is that where Kara lives? God no, although tbh I spend most of my time there.

This is my office, I love having Grayson come in, lax you may say my boss is, well my boss is my Dad so he enjoys it even more so when Grayson comes into visit.

So you are still probably wondering, well you see in the past 20 yrs I have moved over 18 times, crazy huh, some times lasting only 3 weeks the longest being 3 years. We are never settled, we never unpack every box and I hate it. I don't mind the moving, I love the re decoration aspect, I just hate never getting settled.

So my office you see is my constant, the place that has been in my life since the day I was born, the place I feel safe, the place I wanted to show my babies when they were born, the place I feel proud of (even though its a mess) as it has been in my family for over 45 yrs.

I worry it wont be there one day, I worry the place I have gone when my parents split, after school whilst being bullied and spent a few hours one Christmas Day even wont be there.

So right now I make the most of it, I work hard to keep it as my "Home".

How gorgeous does my little boy look ? A little sultry yes, but that's how Grayson rolls.

But how cool does he look in his Allsorts Bandanna Bib, a lovely friend I met on Twitter made Grayson a couple of her super soft fleece lined handmade Bandanna Bibs but in extra large, as she knows, as most Mummies of Disabled Kiddies know they unfortunately drool a great deal.
Tamsin said just cause Gray is bigger and needs to wear bibs all the time doesn't mean he can't be funky.
So funky he is, please go check out Tamsin's lovely Web Shop, she does some incredible items, we are very thankful for her generosity but shall be visiting her in the future as clients for her gorgeous toys and especially the Tag Blankets as both my bubba's love a soft cute blankie.

I have had 2 requests from Fi from Childcare is Fun and Love in The Nest to raise awareness for for Children of Africa who are dying needlessly.

Blog Hop - To encourage people to sign the e-petition bloggers have been asked to write 100 words about how #healthcareworkers have changed your lives and ask other bloggers to do the same.

Most of you know I have 2 babies, Grayson my son who is brain damaged since before birth, my son is incredible but I know that if it wasn't for the NHS good or bad he may not be here today.

Since our little girl Addison was born we have again had to use the help of healthcare professionals as she has too had problems.

We have had to use the NHS more than most and I am very thankful for the service we receive free of charge in the UK.

Children deserve this care, they should have the opportunity for basic medicine, immunisation and a chance to live.

In the world’s poorest countries, 8 million children under five die needlessly every year. They’ll never get the chance to fulfil their potential. Most are killed by illnesses we know how to prevent and treat, such as diarrhoea and pneumonia.

Every single day, thousands of children face starvation. In 2011, this is totally and utterly wrong.

Although our care has not been what I feel even we deserve it is so much more than the poor children of countries like Africa, so help us change this, help us make a difference.

Sign the e-petition and help us get to 60,000 signatures for Christine to take to General Assembly, together we can change their lives.
